This is my third book in the making. Previously, it was named "Aesthete," but I outgrew that, and people had trouble pronouncing it. I've been working on it for a few years now. The book is about a girl named Luna. She's a senior in high school. Not only does she have the general stresses of finishing school and deciding where life will take her, but she also has a lot more on her plate. She just got her music discovered by a producer, and she's working on building that career. Along with that, she's facing a ton of boyfriend issues. King

"King" will be my next children's book. It will be for empowering young black boys. I've seen a lot of books empowering young black girls, and while that is great, we don't see much of the same for black boys. I also find that black boys tend to have lower confidence levels because no one is in their ear telling them that they're beautiful and powerful. This book will follow the story of an elementary boy who is being bullied by his white peers. In the end, he learns how to embrace his dark skin and curly hair.
