March has been very stressful, to be completely transparent. A lot has been going on in my personal life, and I haven't done much this month. However, I'm on spring break right now, so I'm going to use this time to take care of myself. Hopefully April will be better! As for now, I will summarize March in one section.
March Activities
One of the first things that happened this March was my dual enrollment advising appointment! I was very nervous, but the appointment was quick and easy. I've now been registered for my summer classes and am awaiting the next steps!
I also got the opportunity again to volunteer at Feeding the Valley! It's a non-profit organization that gives food to those in need. As like last time, my group and I worked in the assembly line making the boxes. This time some other volunteers were there, so the process was quicker and easier.
My best friend got me flowers for Yellow Flower Day!
One of the things I was very excited to talk about in this entry was the 15th year anniversary dinner I was going to with the company that publishes my books. Unfortunately, I got sick the day of, and wasn't able to go. However, I used my time at home to make myself feel good and bake cookies! Last time I baked cookies, they came out bad, but this time was pretty good! There's definitely still room to improve, but practice makes perfect.
I recently got a project that will be taking up a lot of my time. I'm going to be illustrating a book! This will be my second children's book that I'm fully illustrating, and it will be more challenging than my last because I'm drawing people for this one. However, I'm very excited to gain new experience. Additionally, I'm going to put all of the profit towards my 18th birthday party!
A few days ago, I went to a quince! It was for a friend of a friend, so I didn't know the quinceañera very well. However, the experience was still very personal to me, because my friend choreographed the val! I also got the chance to help her teach the court, which was a lot of fun. The quince was so pretty and a ton of fun.
Lastly, I got two bracelet orders! One was to fix a broken bracelet, and another was to make a Snoopy inspired anklet. Both clients were very pleased with their orders.
GoFundMe
My birthday is coming up in a few months! I didn't have a Sweet 16, so I'd like to have a big party for my 18th birthday. However, funds are tight at the moment, so assistance would be greatly appreciated. Funds will go towards purchasing everything needed for the party: venue, decorations, DJ, photography, clothing, catering, etc. Any donation, no matter how big or small, is so greatly appreciated. If you'd like to support or share, the link to my GoFundMe is here: https://gofund.me/10ccbe8b
Conclusion
March was a mix of eventful and uneventful, but overall very stressful. I have some fun plans, so I'm hoping for better in April. Be sure to subscribe for updates!
