October has been so eventful! The month started with getting inducted into Spanish Honor Society, and ended with Halloween. And of course, plenty of fun things in between.
Academics
This month I was inducted into the Spanish Honor Society! The ceremony was fun, and a bit spooky. I had to hold a candle, and I'm a little scared of fire, but it all turned out okay. There was a performance at the end, and the cake was great. Additionally, Rainey won several awards for One Act. I'm not a part of it, but a lot of my friends are, and I love supporting them. At GTC, we won first runner up, with two students winning individual awards. At Regionals, we won first place with four students winning individual awards. After this, we're going to State.
Personal Life
I haven't had a ton of time to myself this month because I've been so busy, but I did get to go over to my best friend's house! We went to Spirit Halloween so she could get her costume. After, we split McDonalds and got ice cream from Baskin Robbins. We also ran into some classmates while we were out. Later that night, I bought us matching PJs! We both love Spider-Man, and they're so cute.
Art
I wasn't super close with Savannah when her birthday came around, so I made her a late birthday gift! I think it was super cute, and she loved it. The drawings inside are based on pictures from her quinceañera. Also, I drew a spy for my Creative Writing class. Her name is Kobayashi Aiko and I think she's super cool. I'm especially proud of the digital version, because I tried a new shading style.
Spirit Week + Halloween
Halloween has to be my favorite part of October. It's one of my favorite holidays, next to Valentine's day. RMSOTA Party Committee coordinated our second annual Halloween Party this year, and it was so much fun! I think the decorations were so cute, and what was so great was that we could use our earnings from Homecoming to fund it! I dressed up as a vampire, and I absolutely LOVE my costume. I had two matching vampires: at the party, my friend Carey, and at school, my friend Azaiah. The day of the Halloween party, we also had a dance and theatre forum. I love forums at my school because they remind me of how cool it is to go to an arts school. We also had a Spirit Week before that for Red Ribbon Week. I didn't participate in most of the days because I couldn't come up with any outfits, but I did participate in the Country vs Country Club day. I think my outfit was super cute.
Conclusion
October was really fun, and I'm excited for November. I'm going to be practicing for a ball in December, and I have a dance partner now, so I may be posting some dance videos. I also have some art planned (late Inktober prompts). Be sure to subscribe to get updates and see how everything goes!
